Day 1: Puerto Ayora

Arrival to Santa Cruz Island

You will have to go to Quito or Guayaquil airport by your own to take a flight to Galapagos. You will have to pay a TCC (Transit Control Card). Make sure to keep it with your passport, you will have to show it at the customs.

You will land in Baltra and must pay an entrance fee to enter into the Galapagos National Park. Your luggage will be examined to be sure you don’t bring any living organism.

A driver will be waiting to escort you to your hotel.

You will have some free time during the afternoon. You could walk go to Tortuga Bay. There, you can enjoy two beautiful white-sand-beaches, go swimming, snorkeling y watch marine iguanas and other animals.

Day 2: Puerto Villamil

Bay sailing and Isabela Island

Ride: Santa Cruz – Isabela: 2h 30 min (by boat)

In the morning, you will do a bay tour. Among others, you will discover the beach « Playa de los Alemanes », salt mines and « Las Grietas ». As the water is very clear, this is a famous place to do snorkeling. Then you will sail to Isabela Island.

You will have some free time during the afternoon. You could go to the pink flamingo lagoon, near the village, and go to the turtle farm.

Day 3: Puerto Villamil

Sierra Negra volcano hiking

Hike: Volcano 16 km return trip

In the morning, you will discover the Sierra Negra volcano. The crater diameter is more than 10 km, so it is the second bigger of the enter world!

You will have some free time during the afternoon. You could cross the mangrove around the Concha y Perla which is a lagoon supplied by tides. This is a perfect sport to swim and do snorkeling.

Day 4: Puerto Ayora

Tintoreras discovery and return to Santa Cruz

Rides: Isabela – Santa Cruz: 2h30 (boat)

In the morning you will sail to and from the Tintoras, beautiful small islands. There is often heron in trees and also Galapagos penguins and sea lions in the cost line. Tintoreras is the name of white-tip sharks which live in these deep waters.

You will go back to Santa Cruz in the afternoon.

 

Day 5: End of Itinerary

Free time to enjoy Puerto Ayora

You will have free time to discover the port, go shopping, go to the beach or visit the Charles Darwin Station where big turtles are raised.

You will be driven to the Baltra airport to flight to the continent and then take your international flight.
