Days 1 - 2: Nairobi

Arrive into Nairobi . Please ensure you have everything before you disembark, proceed through immigration, collect your bags and make your way to the arrivals area. Here, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative and assisted with luggage to the awaiting vehicle.

Day 3: Soysambu Conservancy

After breakfast, meet a guide and fellow travellers at the agreed time.

Depart on a pleasant drive to the floor of the Great Rift Valley with its spectacular views of the valley below. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Arrive at Mbweha Camp, in time for lunch. Check in and spend 1 night in a standard room with meals and safari activities included.

After a siesta, venture back out with your guide and fellow guests for an afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Days 4 - 5: Masai Mara

Days 6 - 7: Serengeti Sopa Lodge (disabled - as per supplier)

After breakfast, it's time to check out and head south towards Isebania and Sirari, the border towns of Kenya and Tanzania. Here you will exit Kenya and enter Tanzania, clearing immigration.

You will meet your Tanzanian guide and vehicle and continue on past the Mara River as it drains into Lake Victoria and stop at a private scenic site to enjoy picnic lunch.

Continue with a game viewing drive enroute to the Serengeti Sopa Lodge where you will check in for 2 nights with meals included.

Arrive in the early evening in time for dinner.

Please note today is a very long day driving.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge (disabled - as per supplier)

After breakfast, check out and be ready to depart at the agreed time.

You will head to Oldupai Gorge for an interpretative walk hosted by the resident guide.

Afterwards, the group will proceed towards the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater stopping occasionally to admire the views.

Arrive at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge and check into a standard room for 2 nights with all meals included.

This afternoon just relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the crater.

Days 11 - 12: Kimana

After an early breakfast check out and be ready at the agreed time. Depart towards Namanga (the border town between Kenya and Tanzania). The group will clear immigration and continue the journey to Amboseli National Park with your Kenyan guide and vehicle.

Arrive at Amboseli Serena check in, spend 2 nights in a standard room. Enjoy lunch and that afternoon enjoy a game drive before you then return to the lodge for dinner.

Tomorrow enjoy morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 13: Nairobi

Enjoy your last Amboseli breakfast before checking out. Be ready at the agreed time and depart with the group back to Nairobi.

Days 14 - 16: Stone Town

Be ready in reception at the agreed time meet a driver will meet and assist you with luggage to the vehicle. Road transfer to Nairobi International Airport. Proceed to check in and catch the scheduled flight departing to Zanzibar.

On arrival into Zanzibar Airport , please ensure you have everything before disembarking. Clear immigration and collect your bags.

In the arrivals hall, look for your name on a signboard and meet a driver who will assist you with luggage to the private transfer vehicle. Transfer by road to your accommodation.

On arrival at Kisiwa House, check in and spend 3 nights in a junior suite with breakfast included.

Day 17: Johannesburg

After breakfast, it's time to check out. Please ensure you are ready in reception at the agreed time.

Meet a driver who will assist you with bags to the vehicle. Road transfer to Zanzibar Airport.

On arrival at the airport, proceed to check in for the scheduled flight to Dar es Salaam domestic airport terminal.

On arrival into Dar es Salaam domestic airport , collect your luggage then proceed to the arrivals hall and onwards to the outdoor area. Here, board the shuttle bus service bound for the international airport terminal.

At Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere International Airport, proceed to check in and catch the scheduled flight departing to Johannesburg.

Arrive into Johannesburg . As soon as you disembark the plane, you will be met by one of our VIP Airport representatives who is there to assist you through immigration and with luggage collection.

From the airport, the Menzies rep will show you the way (on foot) to City Lodge O.R Tambo located in the airport complex, approximately a 10 minute walk from the arrival hall.

Check in and spend 1 night in a standard room with breakfast included.

Days 18 - 19: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After breakfast, it's time to check out. Please make your own way back to Johannesburg O.R Tambo International Airport, with ample time (we recommend 3 hours) to check in for your scheduled flight departing to Victoria Falls.

On arrival into Victoria Falls clear immigration, collect your bags and proceed through customs to the arrivals hall. Here, look for a driver who will have your name on a signboard. Transfer by road to your accommodation.

On arrival at Ilala Lodge, check in and spend 2 nights in a standard room with breakfast included.

This afternoon, you will be met in reception at 15h15 by a driver from Wild Horizons who will transfer you to the river for the Zambezi Explorer sunset cruise, Signature Deck.

Enjoy two hours cruising the river, observing wildlife in and around the water's edge and fantastic food and drinks. Afterwards, you will be dropped off back at your hotel.

Days 20 - 21: Chobe River Front

After breakfast, it's time to check out.

Meet a driver from in reception at the agreed time and board the scheduled transfer to Kasane, Botswana clearing immigration along the way. Once at the border, you will be required to clear immigration out of Zimbabwe, hop back into the vehicle and drive a little further to the Botswana immigration office. Here you will clear immigration into Botswana.

Here there is a vehicle change and drivers assist you and fellow guests with luggage. Proceed onwards to Kasane jetty.

Disembark and meet a representative from Chobe Princess boats. You will be assisted to clear immigration out of Botswana and then board a speed boat that transfers you to the Chobe Princess. Along the way you do stop to clear immigration into Namibia - it's a walk up a 'dirt track' and in the 'tin shed' you will be stamped into Namibia.

Continue onwards to the boat.

On arrival at Chobe Princess, check in and spend 2 nights in a cabin with all meals, local brand drinks, water borne activities with dedicated guides and tender boats, all fuel, fishing equipment and licences, park fees, return road transfer Kasane Airport/Kasane Immigration and return boat transfers from Kasane Immigration and Namibian Immigration. Activities include: game viewing by boat, fishing, birding, guided walks or a visit to a local village on the Namibian side.

Days 22 - 24: Okavango Delta

After breakfast, it's time to check out please be ready at the agreed time with all of your belongings and luggage. You will be transferred to Kasane airport by boat and vehicle, clearing back into Botswana along the way.

On arrival at Kasane Airport, proceed to check in and catch a light aircraft flight to the Delta.

On arrival at Kwara airstrip, please ensure you have all of your personal possessions before you disembark and collect your main bag from the hold. A guide from camp will be at the airstrip to assist you with luggage into the awaiting 4x4 vehicles. Head off with any fellow guests who also may arrive in off your flight, game viewing along the way to camp.

On arrival at Kwara Camp, check in and spend 3 nights in a classic safari tent with meals, local drinks (beer, house wine, selected spirits, soft drinks, water, juices), safari activities, park fees, laundry and emergency evacuation insurance included.

Day 25: Windhoek

Today, depending on your light aircraft flight, you may or may not have time for a morning activity. You will likely be on one of the first flights out to ensure you ample time to check in at Maun for your onward flight.

So enjoy breakfast and check out ready at the agreed time, approximately 08h00 (confirmed the night prior). Transfer with guide and fellow guests to the airstrip. Arrive in time to catch the scheduled light aircraft flight to Maun.

On arrival into Maun, it's essential you check you have all of your possessions as this plane will take off quickly to its next destination. Disembark, collect your main bag and proceed to check in and catch the scheduled flight departing to Victoria Falls. At Victoria Falls, check in for the scheduled flight to Windhoek.

On arrival into Windhoek clear immigration, collect your bags and proceed through customs. From here make your way to the arrivals hall where you'll be welcomed by a Guest Liaison staff member, transfer by road to your accommodation.

On arrival at Galton House, check in and spend 1 night in a standard room with breakfast included.

Days 26 - 27: Sesriem

After breakfast, it's time to check out. Please be ready at the agreed time. Meet your small group tour guide from Ultimate Safaris who will assist you and fellow guests into the 4x4 vehicle.

You and fellow group travellers will then depart Windhoek in your safari vehicle with your private guide and drive southwest through the scenic Khomas Hochland highlands before heading down the Great Escarpment into the Namib Desert below, stopping for a picnic lunch at a scenic location along the way. You arrive at Sossus Dune Lodge in the mid afternoon.

On arrival at Sossus Dune Lodge, check in and spend 2 nights in a chalet with meals included.

If there is still time today, your guide will take you to visit Sesriem Canyon, a nearby geological attraction, or explore Elim Dune. However, if you prefer, you can just relax and soak in the scenic and tranquil surroundings at Sossus Dune Lodge.

Days 28 - 29: Swakopmund

After breakfast, meet your guide and fellow travellers at the agreed time. The fascinating drive today takes you northwest through awesome and ever changing desert landscapes of the Namib Naukluft National Park, including the impressive Gaub and Kuiseb canyons. You will meet the coast at the port town of Walvis Bay and then continue north to Swakopmund where you can enjoy the pleasant seaside location and cooler coastal air.

On arrival at Cornerstone Guesthouse, check in and spend 2 nights in a standard room with meals included. There will be time this afternoon to explore the town and wander along the waterfront on foot, before

heading off for dinner at a popular restaurant which specialises in fresh seafood.

Days 30 - 31: Twyfelfontein

After breakfast, it's time to check out. Meet your guide and fellow travellers at the agreed time.

Continuing on your safari today, the road takes you north and east into the wonderful and diverse region of Damaraland. You pass Namibia’s highest mountain, the Brandberg which peaks at 2,573 m above sea level,

and take time to view game and absorb the vastness of the scenery along the way.

Damaraland is typified by displays of colour, magnificent table topped mountains, rock formations and bizarre-looking vegetation. The present day landscape has been formed by the erosion of wind, water and geological forces which have formed rolling hills, dunes, gravel plains and ancient river terraces. It is the variety and loneliness of the area as well as the scenic splendour which will reward and astound you, giving one an authentic understanding of the word 'wilderness'.

If time allows this afternoon your guide will take you to visit the nearby attractions and geological sites of the pre-historic Twyfelfontein rock engravings (recently declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes - if not there is plenty of time to see them tomorrow.

Day 32: Ongava Private Game Reserve

Today after a very early breakfast you set off on your journey to the Etosha National Park, travelling via the Grootberg Pass.

Along the way your guide will take you to visit a local Himba settlement – you may have to search for a while as the semi-nomadic Himba people sometimes move location with no notice. They are one of the last truly traditional peoples of Namibia and have little time for conventional practices. Here you will learn about the customs and traditions of this very proud nation, and will be given insight into their beliefs, way of life and everyday routine.

After visiting the Himba you will head east through the small town of Kamanjab before heading on for tonight’s destination at the homely Andersson’s Camp, which is situated just south of the Etosha National Parks Andersson Gate.

A picnic lunch will be had en-route and arrival will be in the very late afternoon or early evening (after a long but rewarding day). On arrival at Andersson's Camp, check in and spend 1 night in a chalet with meals included.

After your arrival you will have some time at leisure, which can be spent appreciating the unique surroundings and enjoying the game viewing at the camp’s floodlit waterhole.

Days 33 - 34: Onguma Tree Top (permanently closed)

Today is available for a full day of exciting game viewing within the central section of Etosha National Park from your private safari vehicle as you make your way from the southern Andersson’s Gate to Halali (where you may stop for lunch) and then on across via selected waterholes such as Goas, which are normally particularly good for game viewing, to Namutoni Camp in the east.

You will have to leave the Park before sunset and head out to stay at the delightful accommodation. On arrival at Onguma Tree Top Camp, check in and spend 2 nights in a chalet with meals included.

Day 35: Okonjima Nature Reserve

Meet your guide and fellow travellers at the agreed time. Your early departure will take you south from Onguma Tree Top via Tsumeb, Otavi and Otjiwarongo to reach Okonjima’s AfriCat Day Centre, a wonderful highlight with which to conclude your safari.

You will arrive in time for lunch before embarking on an exciting and informative game drive and tour of the centre. Here you will learn about the function and vision of the AfriCat Foundation and will also get to meet some of the Foundation’s special carnivore ambassadors.

After the excursion your guide and fellow travellers will depart back to Windhoek, while you will be escorted to your overnight accommodation at Okonjima.

On arrival at Okonjima Plains Camp, check in and spend 1 night in a view room with meals and afternoon, night drive and morning safari activities included.

Days 36 - 38: Johannesburg

After morning safari activity and breakfast, it's time to check out, meet a Guest Liaison Officer. You will be assisted to the vehicle and then road transfer to Windhoek. Please note this is a 4 hour drive.

On arrival at Hoseakutako International Airport, proceed to check in and catch the scheduled flight departing to Johannesburg.

On arrival into Johannesburg O.R Tambo International Airport disembark, collect your bags and proceed to the arrivals hall.

Meet a private driver in the arrivals hall and be assisted with your luggage to the awaiting private vehicle for your road transfer to your accommodation.

Days 39 - 40: Hazyview

After an early breakfast, it's time to check out and be ready in reception by at the agreed time where you will be met by a driver/guide who is with you for the coming tour. The guide will assist you with luggage to the awaiting vehicle and introduce you to other guests on the tour.

Depart Johannesburg and travel to the ‘Land of the Rising Sun - Mpumalanga - via the magnificent Panorama Route. The most spectacular stretch of the Panorama Route is the Blyde River Canyon. From many well-positioned vantage points one has a view of the 33 kilometre long gorge, which starts at “Bourke’s Luck Potholes” and ends at the “Three Rondavels”. Time and weather permitting, stop at God’s Window.

Aftewards you will be transferred to your accommodation.

On arrival at Perry's Bridge Hollow, check in and spend 2 nights in a standard room with breakfast & dinner included.

Tomorrow you will depart on an open vehicle safari through the Kruger National Park. The world- renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.

Return to your hotel in the afternoon and spend the remainder of the day at leisure. You will have the option to return to the Kruger National Park to absorb the tranquil beauty of an evening safari (additional charge)

Day 41: Lobamba

After breakfast, it's time to check out. With your guide and fellow guests travel to the Royal Kingdom of Swaziland.

This tiny mountainous kingdom is filled with bygone African traditions and culture and offers beautiful scenery and attractions such as game reserves and art & craft outlets to name a few.

Enjoy a showcase of the traditional Swazi culture followed by lunch at the Matsamo Cultural Village. Continue to the Ngwenya Glass Works to see master craftsmen create beautiful sculptures and artwork from molten glass. After spending some time at the craft markets, arrive at your hotel located in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley.

Days 42 - 43: Mkhuze Game Reserve

After breakfast, it's time to check out. Enjoy a morning visit to the Swazi Candle Factory where each candle is made and finished by hand using the age-old technique “millefiore”. No two are the same and the range boasts an astonishing array of patterns, shapes and designs.

Continue via Big Bend into KwaZulu-Natal.

On arrival at Ghost Mountain Inn, check in and spend 2 nights in a standard room with breakfast & dinner included.

Once you have settled into your accommodation embark on an afternoon scenic drive up the Ubombo Mountains, offering views over Lake Jozini.

The drive will be combined with a visit to a local and authentic Zulu homestead for a glimpse into Zulu life in today’s world. Return to the hotel for dinner on the terrace (weather permitting) or in the classically styled restaurant.

Tomorrow morning is at leisure, with the option to embark on a morning activity of your choice (for your own account).

In the afternoon afternoon you will transfer to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve for an afternoon of game viewing. The Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve covers a combined area of 90 000ha and it was here that the white rhino was saved from extinction. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. End the day with dinner at the hotel.

Day 44: Durban

After breakfast, it's time to check out. Continue the journey with your guide and fellow travellers along the Elephant Coast of KwaZulu-Natal to St Lucia, located at the southern extremity of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park - a World Heritage Site.

Here you embark on an estuarine boat trip which provides an opportunity to view crocodiles, hippo and numerous bird species, including the majestic African Fish Eagle, in their natural habitat.

Continue to Durban, where east meets west; a city beneath which beats the pulse of Africa. On arrival at The Benjamin Boutique Hotel, check in and spend 1 night in a standard room with breakfast included.

Day 45: Gqeberha

After breakfast, it's time to check out. This morning you will embark on a brief Durban City Tour where you will spend the morning discovering the cultural and historical contrasts of the city.

You will then be dropped off at Durban’s King Shaka International Airport in time to check in and catch the scheduled flight departing to Port Elizabeth. On arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport, meet your new driver/guide and transfer to your hotel.

Described as the ‘garden of the Garden Route’, the Tsitsikamma actually deserves a more vivid description to encapsulate the beauty of the place.

Enjoy a walk along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth gorge which offers visitors incredible views and photo opportunities. Continue to Plettenberg Bay for dinner and overnight.

Day 48: Oudtshoorn

After breakfast, it's time to check out. Proceed on an informative cruise up the Keurbooms River with your guide and fellow travellers.

Continue to the lagoon side town of Knysna - the gem of the Garden Route. Enjoy some time at leisure at the Knysna Waterfront Complex before travelling to Oudtshoorn - the ‘feather capital’ of the world due to its large ostrich industry. Visit a working ostrich farm for a guided tour.

Afterward, travel via Route 62 to Barrydale for lunch (to own account). Arrive in Cape Town around 18h00.
