10 Day Botswana Wild Camping Expedition

Day notes

Be welcomed at your place of choice in Johannesburg early in the morning (about 08h00), and head out of the big city northwards. We travel to Botswana, crossing the border with formalities and enjoying a light lunch on the way (at own expense), before travelling to our overnight destination at Khama Rhino Sanctuary.

On arrival, check in and relax at camp. Possible afternoon game drive, depending on arrival time and travel during the day, and enjoy dinner at leisure at your chalet.

Day notes

Today we enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast Khama Rhino Sanctuary, with optional morning game drive. We then pack up and head off to the Magkadigkadi Pans area of Botswana.

In the early afternoon, arrive at camp and set up for the next 2 nights. This campsite has all the amenities of hot showers, a bar, pool, and other guests.

Enjoy dinner in the evening and a brief sunset trip to the pans.

Today we head out early into the Pans of Botswana, travelling to see a set of impressive Baobabs. Here we'll enjoy a hearty breakfast.

We'll return back to camp for the heat of the day after exploring the pans.

In the afternoon, travel out to the Magkadigkadi Pans for sunset and enjoy the spectacular vista!

Return to camp for dinner.

Day notes

Today we break camp again and enjoy breakfast. From here, we'll be traveling past the town of Maun, where we'll pick up supplies for the next camping adventure through the northern parts of Botswana. During the afternoon, we'll travel into Moremi Game Reserve, surrounding the Okavango Delta.

Arriving in the afternoon, we'll set up camp near the banks of the River, settling in and enjoying dinner.

Day notes

Today we'll head out for a morning game drive, searching for wildlife. Along the way, stop off for breakfast.

We'll travel to the boating area, enjoying a wonderful mokoro (local African canoe) trip through the wild waterways for the Delta.

Return to camp via an afternoon game drive, arriving to relax and enjoy dinner.

This morning we enjoy breakfast and break camp. We travel across the bush via game drive, north the to Savuti Marsh area. Famed for its wildlife, especially Elephant, Buffalo and Lion. We arrive at camp and set up. Enjoy a short game drive in the evening before dinner back at camp around the fire.

Today we head out on a morning game drive, enjoying small meals as we look to maximise our wildlife viewing. Return to camp for breakfast and relax during the heat of the day.

We head out again for an afternoon/sunset game drive, returning to camp for dinner again.

Today ends the camping part of the safari, as we break camp and enjoy breakfast at leisure in the morning.

We then transfer up to Chobe National Park and the wonderful Chobe Safari Lodge, situated on the banks of the Chobe River. Check in and settle at the lodge. In the evening, we enjoy a dinner cruise on the Chobe River.

Enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast at the lodge, before we transfer across the border to Victoria Falls for a day trip. We do a guided tour of the mighty Victoria Falls, before exploring the town of Vic Falls with possible optional activities (at own expense).

We return to Botswana in the afternoon, enjoying dinner buffet style for the final evening.

Transfer to Kasane for onward flights to Mozambique.
