12 Day Cape Town, Victoria Falls, Chobe, & Kruger Highlights

Day notes

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, be welcomed by your guide. Transfer to your hotel for the next 4 nights in Cape Town. Settle into your place and relax on the first evening, preparing for your journey with us across Southern Africa over the next weeks!

Day notes

Beginning on the first day in Cape Town, we spend the morning visiting Kirstenbosch and the magical Botanical Gardens for a stroll around. From here, transfer for lunch and enjoy a ride up the Cable Car to the top of Table Mountain. Soak in the magnificent views, before heading back down and a boat trip to Robben Island starting at 13h00. We visit this island prison with a long and interesting history, exploring the places Nelson Mandela and his comrades spent so many years in confinement. The evening is spent enjoying the V&A Waterfront and surrounds. We enjoy dinner at a local restaurant (for own expense). Transfer back to your guest house in the evening.

Please note: Table Mountain & Robben Island tours are weather dependent, as the Cape weather can cancel these activities! You will be refunded in cash if unavailable, or we will swop the days in Cape Town to allow for all activities to be done.

Day notes

The following day, after a great breakfast, we take a journey around the Cape Peninsula; driving along the coastline, we visit the Penguin colony at Boulders, enjoy a walk around Cape Point, drive over fantastic scenic passes, and enjoy a Boat Cruise to Seal Island in the Afternoon. Dinner is once again enjoyed (at own expense) at the Hout Bay Harbour, watching the sun set.

Please note: Chapman's Peak drive and the boat cruise to Duiker Island are weather dependent, as these activities can be cancelled due to adverse weather. We will either refund the tour fees in cash on tour, or swop the days to allow for activities to be done.

Day notes

After enjoying breakfast at your guesthouse, we take a journey today to the Cape Winelands, famed throughout the world for producing great wines. We take a trip around Franschoek, visiting several classy vineyards and tasting as much, or as little wine, as you choose (at own expense)! This is done via the classic Wine Tram.

The vineyards have great restaurants and delis to enjoy lunch (at own expense). After lunch continue your tour of the winelands ending in Franschoek. We travel back to Cape Town in the evening for dinner (at own expense) over-looking the ocean in the seaside village of Kalk Bay!

Day notes

We spend 2 full days and 3 nights around Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Leaving Cape Town in the morning, we transfer by flight to Victoria Falls where you will be collected and transferred to your hotel for the next 3 nights. Check in and spend the afternoon relaxing around town. Dinner will be enjoyed on the Zambezi with a sunset boat cruise.

The following day, after a hearty breakfast, we visit the famous Victoria Falls for a guided walk along its edge and then onto a Day Tour of Victoria Falls town. The afternoon allows for your choice of own activity. There are ample activities on offer, and the choice will be yours during the day; white-water rafting on the Zambezi, Bungy-Jumping, and other more adventurous trips!

Day notes

Today you enjoy a full excursion out to Botswana, exploring the magnificent Chobe National Park. Begin by transferring across to Botswana after breakfast, to enjoy a Chobe River boat cruise. This is more wildlife orientated than the Zambezi.

In the afternoon, enjoy an open vehicle safari into Chobe National Park searching for wildlife.

Return to your hotel in the evening and enjoy dinner at the Boma, Place of evening.

Enjoy breakfast at your own pace in the morning, and transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport for flights to Johannesburg. Beginning on our journey out to Kruger National Park, travel from Johannesburg in the late afternoon where we spend the first evening relaxing at the Blyde River Canyon, and enjoy dinner there.

Enjoy a relaxed morning at Blyde River Canyon, with an optional light hike.

From here, we travel via the Panoramic Route for the scenic drive to Kruger National Park. Stopping along the way at several fantastic sites, such as the largest green canyon in the world Blyde River Canyon, along with Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window, and one of the many waterfalls in the area. Enjoying lunch along the way at one of the local towns, we arrive at the gates of Kruger in the early afternoon. Enjoy a game drive to camp, where you check in and relax. Enjoy dinner in the evening.

We do morning and afternoon game drives on the next days. All meals are provided and there
will be time to relax at camp in the day, visiting the museum, the swimming pool, or just chilling!

Day notes

Enjoy your final early morning game drive, return to camp and pack up. We transfer at leisure the 4 or so hours back to Johannesburg, with regular stops along the way.
