Day 1: Manaus

Upon arrival into Manaus, you will clear customs and immigrations and then be met by our ground agent Steve Mondaf when exiting the baggage area. She will be holding a sign with "TC Fishing" on it.  TC stands for Tuco Carvalho, the owner/ operator of the camp. Steve will transfer you to your hotel where your single or double occupancy room (depending on program chosen) has been reserved and already included in your trip fee.  Remainder of today at leisure.

Expert tips

Depending upon your flight schedule, you might be arriving into Manaus very early morning of day 2 and in that situation, you will just transfer to a nearby cafe for a bite to eat and then head directly to the charter field for the 7am flight up to the camp.

Day 2: The Amazon

Early this morning, the group will be met at the hotel at a time outlined by your guide when being transferred to the hotel the night before. Everyone will transfer back to the airport for your charter float plane flight landing at our mobile camp , you will stow your gear and relax for the remainder of the day.  The floating cabins are a very unique set-up and this program has eight cabins designated for single  or double occupancy use. Each cabin is complete with bed (s), bathroom, sink, a/c, and power. The are beached in the location best to access the most ideal water levels and fishing areas. Your camp will have a manager who is the host and can help with any request you may have.

Day 3: The Amazon

Today is your first full day of fishing. Wake-up time will be adjusted throughout the season, but normally around 5:30am followed by breakfast. At safe light (around 6:30am), you will head out with your partner and guide exploring the back waters of the Amazon Basin. Typical boat rides will be around 30 minutes from camp although some could be a bit longer or shorter depending on where the guide chooses to fish. You will fish until noon where you will break for lunch. Normally anglers choose to take a boxed lunch to maximize fishing time. After 30 mins or so, you will fish the afternoon until it is time to return to camp, normally around 4pm. Should you wish to return earlier, this is not a problem as some days the heat after lunch gets to be too much for some. Just inform your guide and he will take you back to camp. Each evening you will enjoy cocktails in camp and dinner in the main dining cabin.

Days 4 - 8: The Amazon

These are full days fishing with overnights on the cabins.

*If you are opting for the 4 full fishing day program, you will have full fishing days on days 4, 5, 6 then depart camp on day 7 to charter back to Manaus where your day room has been arranged. This evening you will transfer back to the airport departing late this evening and arriving home on Day 8.

Day 9: Overnight Travel

No fishing is planned today. After breakfast, the group will be transferred back to the airstrip or float plane for the flight on to Manaus where our agent will again meet everyone and transfer you back to the hotel where a single occupancy day room has been reserved to rest. We can also discuss options to pass the afternoon like a city tour of Manaus or seeing the Meeting of the Waters where the Rio Negro and Amazon rivers meet. This evening your guide will transfer everyone back to the airport to catch your flight home departing late this evening
