Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival at JKI Airport in Nairobi, you will need to get your visa sorted with immigration and after that you will head to the baggage hall. A final clearance will be done by Customs and then its time to head to the  exit  where our guide will be awaiting your arrival. Guides are not allowed inside the terminal so you will need to meet outside - the area is clear as there will be a number of people ready to meet and greet with signs.

You will then transfer across to your hotel and have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. If you would like to undertake an optional activity then we can assist in making these arrangements, or you can speak to the hotel directly.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve

Breakfast will be served at 0630hrs today and thereafter at 0700hrs you will be met in the lobby and will receive a briefing for your program. Following check out you will depart at 0715hrs for Samburu National Reserve. The drive will take you through beautiful pineapple plantations and fertile vegetation lands. Providing the journey goes smoothly you should arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and lthen some relaxation time.

At 1500hrs you will head off on your first game drive in search of the famous wildlife. After the exciting drive you will return to lodge ready for dinner.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve

Today breakfast will be served at 0630hrs, and then at 0700hrs you will depart for a half day game drive as you search for wildlife around the rugged rocks and the Ewaso Nyiro River. You will return to the lodge for a spot of lunch and some leisure time. At 1500hrs you will once again head out for a game drive in search of zebra, elephant, giraffes and much much more.

Day 4: Lake Elmenteita

Today breakfast will again be served at 0630hrs. You will need to be checked out ready to depart at 0700hrs for Lake Elementaita. You will have a leisurely drive via Nyahururu where a stop will be made at The Equator Crossing and you will experience a demonstration to prove the fact of the  different polars. Nearby you will have another stop at the beautiful Thomson Falls.

Proceed with the journey and you will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. You then have the rest of the day to relax in beautiful Kenyan surroundings.

Day 5: Masai Mara

Breakfast will be served at 0630hrs and then you will depart at 0700hrs for the world’s famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The drive will take you through dry lands and large wheat plantations.
A stop will made at Narok for a break. This town is run by the local Maasai people and don’t be surprised to see cows randomly walking around.

The stretch from here to the Reserve is over a tarmac road and thereafter 70kms will be on a (very) rough and bumpy track. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and you may want to take a brief nap. Late afternoon you will head off on your first game drive into the famous Masai Mara, in search of the elusive Big 5! You will arrive back in time for dinner at the lodge.

Day 6: Masai Mara

Today breakfast will be at 6.30 am and then you will have a morning game drive. Lunch will be served at the lodge followed by an evening game drive and then dinner.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, leopard, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration between June-August. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people.

Day 7: End of Itinerary

Today you have a slightly later breakfast at 0700hrs. You should arrange check-out because at 0730hrs you depart for Nairobi. It will be your last leisurely drive as you pass through a number of Maasai Towns. You should arrive into Nairobi around lunch time.  On arrival a transfer will be arranged to JKI Airport to board your flight back home.
