Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City

Today you will arrive to the more fast-paced modernized city of Ho Chi Minh City, formally known as “Saigon”. You will be picked up and taken to check into your hotel (hotel early check-in is subject to hotel’s availability).

Free at leisure and spend the night at hotel in HCM City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City

Get ready for a whole day discover the city. Ho Chi Minh City – former name Saigon is Vietnam’s largest city. Saigon is a fast paced city with a unique mix of French colonial architecture, Chinese influences, a modern entrepreneurial spirit and numerous temples. During 300 years history, under the name of Saigon, it was the capital of French colony of Indochina and later of the independent republic of South Vietnam. After the war, this city was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City after President Ho Chi Minh. Today, Ho Chi Minh City is a modern developing urban but still remain its connection with the past. Not so hard to find an ancient pagoda or a building with French elements.

Start your tour with The Reunification Palace, used to be residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. In 30 April 1975, the when North Vietnam soldier set foot inside this building with red flag on hand, the whole world knew that Vietnam war was end.

Next stop is War Remnants Museum, on the way stop to visit Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, 2 most famous and oldest of classical French colonial architecture construction was built more than 100 years ago. War Remnants Museum with many photographs are from both Vietnam and US sources; US military vehicle like tanks, jet, booms display outside.

After lunch and a short rest, we continue city tour by discover eastern side of the city. Giac Lam Pagoda, the oldest one in Ho Chi Minh City with huge Buddha statues system which was built on 1774.

Then ride to Cho Lon (Big Market) and Thien Hau Pagoda which located inside China Town, it’s a place of great historical and cultural importance many of temples, pagodas in surrounding area.

Before tour ends, stop over for shopping at Ben Thanh Market in city center.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, you will take the drive to the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City for a visit to the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels, a well-known historical vestige of the Vietnamese revolution. As a distinctive architecture, this cobweb-like tunnel complex is a network of underground dug-outs of over 200 kilometers long, consisting of many layers and turnings with meeting, living and fighting quarters where we learn the first hand how the Viet Cong survived the extraordinary underground existence during the Vietnam War. Back to Ho Chi Minh for lunch, the rest of date at leisure. 

Day 4: Vinh Long

Drive to Vinh Long – one of the 12 fertile provinces of the Mekong Delta. Boat trip on the great Mekong River to see Cai Be floating market. Several stops to see local people making rice paper, coconut candy, popcorn, etc. Continue by small boat rowing in small canal and then the boat takes us to enthusiastic homestay at Minh Island. Check in, make friend with the members of the family. Walk around the village or garden, and do cooking for your dinner. We enjoy diner and have cup of tea or rice wine when talking together. You can ask about the culture, people, history of this Island. They do not mind to answer some personal questions. Overnight at Ut Trinh home stay. 

Day 5: Can Tho

Have a breakfast and walk along the village to enjoy the fresh air in the morning. Boat trip to visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. We can visit Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best choice for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetable… The cruise will end at around 10:30 in Vinh Long town, where we rejoin the ca and continue to Can Tho city. Visit Khmer pagoda. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 6: Can Tho

Boat trip in early morning on Lower Branch of Mekong River to visit Cai Rang floating market and enjoy life activities of local people on the river. The landscape is very beautiful: hundred sampans with full of rice, fruits and handicraft products…they are here to exchange their products. We will then visit the central market and explore the local activities. After leaving the market, we are going to visit a luxuriant orchard of Mr Ba Cong and enjoy fresh fruits which are picked by you. Back to your hotel, the rest of day at leisure. 

Day 7: Phu Quoc

After breakfast at your hotel, free time at leisure until take transfer to Can Tho airport for flight to Phu Quoc. 

Upon arrival, you are picked up by shuttle bus/ van complimentary by the resort and transferred to check in hotel (for 3 nights). Free at leisure and spend the night in Phu Quoc.

Day 8: Phu Quoc

Have breakfast at your hotel.

Free your leisure. O/n in Phu Quoc.

Day 9: Phu Quoc

Have breakfast at your hotel.

Free your leisure. O/n in Phu Quoc.

Day 10: Phu Quoc

Have breakfast at your hotel.

Free your leisure. O/n in Phu Quoc.

Day 11: Phu Quoc

Have breakfast at your hotel.

Free your leisure. O/n in Phu Quoc.

Day 12: End of Itinerary

Breakfast at hotel then free at your leisure till check-out. Transfer to Phu Quoc Airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat Airport) (you are transferred the airport by shuttle bus/ van complimentary by the resort). Upon arrival, you will connect to the next flight back home.
