COVID-19: ACTIVITIES & SERVICES

Day 1: Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania!

On arrival into Kilimanjaro airport, clear immigration, collect your bags, and proceed through customs to the arrivals hall. Here, meet your Tanzanian safari guide who will be with you for the duration of your safari. You will be assisted to your vehicle and transferred along with your fellow guests to your accommodation. Check in and spend one night at Ilboru Safari Lodge with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

Explore Lake Manyara by morning game drive and lunch, a classic safari picnic, and enjoy our final glimpse of the great wilds of the Northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara offers an insight into the Great Rift Valley system and the adaptation of many herd animals and magnificent birdlife. We continue Esilalei Maasai Village to explore the area and our school project. In the late afternoon, we zig zag our way up the Rift Valley Escarpment and onto the crater highlands for overnight at Mandhari Lodge,  located in the farmlands bordering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where the wildlife roam nearby, but the best part is the 180 degrees of views right in front of you.

Day 3: Missing Point

Embrace a short drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is collapsed volcano – an incredible natural amphitheatre, 25 km across and teeming with all of  Africa's big game. Early morning descent into the crater for spectacular scenery and game viewing in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world. Tonight we are staying on the crater rim at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge , it is quite common for zebra, buffalo and even elephant to be grazing right outside the lodge.

Days 4 - 5: Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, it's time to check out. Meet your guide at the agreed time and enjoy a scenic game drive transfer to your next accommodation in the Serengeti. On arrival, check in and spend two nights at Nasikia Mobile Camp in a tent with all meals and safari activities included.

The camp is mobile, following the migration patterns and therefore locations vary throughout the year from northern Serengeti to far southern plains at Ndutu.

Spend these days enjoying morning and afternoon safari activities with your guide and fellow guests.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, its time to check out. Meet your guide at the agreed time and transfer out of the Serengeti, passing through Oldupai Gorge. Enjoy lunch and a view of the archaeological sites (and visit the museum) where early human tools and fossils have been found. Set off in the direction of Tarangire National Park and arrive at camp at sunset. On arrival, check in and spend one night at Tarangire Ndovu Camp in a standard tent including all meals and safari activities.

Please note: Tarangire Ndovu Camp is open from 01 June to 31 March. When this camp is closed, Maramboi Tented Camp will be used instead.

Day 7: End of Itinerary

After breakfast, it's time to check out. Meet your guide at the agreed time and enjoy an early morning game driving in Tarangire National Park. Later this morning you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro airport where you will bid your guide and group farewell.
