Days 1 - 2: Sossusvlei

Drive from Windhoek to Kulala Desert Lodge in the private Kulala Wilderness Reserve.
We explore the iconic dunes of Sossusvlei and the moon-like landscape of Dead Vlei.

Expert tips

Guests need to arrive in Windhoek no later than 07:00 on the day of departure (we recommend that guests overnight in Windhoek before the start of the safari). If guests arrive after this time, they will need to be air transferred to their first camp, at an additional charge.

Days 3 - 4: Swakopmund

Transfer by road, taking in the spectacular scenery to Swakopmund, a picturesque town with an eclectic mix of European and African cultures.

Explore the ice-blue Atlantic coast on a dolphin boat cruise.

Day 5: Twyfelfontein

Continue your journey by road up the legendary Skeleton Coast and through the game productive Ugab riverbed, past the iconic Brandberg Mountain to Damaraland Camp.

This land of stark beauty boasts a varied assortment of desert-adapted wildlife and incredible geological features.

Days 6 - 7: Palmwag

Another exciting day is spent on the road to Desert Rhino Camp.
The rugged, rocky and mountainous Palmwag concession brings with it the opportunity of seeing giraffe, gemsbok and springbok.
Spend the next two days tracking the rare desert-adapted black rhino.

Days 8 - 10: Hoanib River

A morning light aircraft flight transfers you over Namibia's spectacular desert scenes to Hoanib.

Expert tips

This rugged and dramatic landscape is famed for plant and animal life that has adapted superbly to the harsh environment of mountains, dunes, vast plains, dry riverbeds and the icy Atlantic Ocean.

Days 11 - 13: Ongava Private Game Reserve

Fly back to where the car was left and drive to Ongava Game Lodge on the edge of the Etosha National Park, Namibia's highest density wildlife area.
Spend the days exploring Etosha and the wildlife rich Ongava Game Reserve.
