The Mara North Conservancy has one of the lowest tourist and vehicle densities in the ecosystem due to managed volume and strict land-use plans.

Expert tips

Serian is the first of Alex’s camps, and it is set along the banks of the Mara River, bursting with laughing pods of languorous hippos. ‘Mara’ is the masai word for ‘dotted’ and indeed thus rich zone is littered with wildlife wherever you look - famed for it’s sheer density of game, this is the perfect location to kick off your safari. Explore in one of our vehicles, or take a walk on the wild side and head out on foot - both will bring different levels and layers to your experience....and top it off with a nocturnal adventure: take a bush dinner and red-filter spotlights and discover what the wilderness has to offer by way of nightlife.
