Day 1: Hanoi

Our guide and driver will pick you up at Noi Bai International Airport then transfer to the city center for hotel checking-in. 

Hanoi is over 1000 years old and is currently the capital of Vietnam as well the commercial, political, and cultural heart of the country. It has preserved the authenticity and enjoys large shaded avenues, many lakes and well-trimmed gardens. Get ready to explore the charm of Hanoi with main attractions including: Hoan Kiem Lake or Sword Lake in the city center, the Temple of Literature, continue discovering the remains of the colonial period as the former Palace of the Governor of Indochina built in 1906, the Saint Joseph cathedral in neo-gothic style, the Opera House built in 1911 by Garnier, etc. You will then visit One Pillar Pagoda to enjoy its special architecture and having a cycling tour through the Hoan Kiem district, also known as the Old Quarter consisting 36 streets. Each street then had merchants and households specializing in a particular trade, such as silk or jewelry, bamboo weavers, goldsmiths and etc.

Day 2: Pu Luong Nature Reserve

In the morning, after having breakfast, you will take a transport to Pu Luong nature reserve across a mountain pass to enjoy spectacular sceneries. 

Arrive at Pu Luong and then start your discovery of bamboo aqueducts that lead water to the mills. After that, you will have a raft ride on the Cham River. Return to Pu Luong.

Approximately 2 hours of trekking, 3 km.

Day 3: Pu Luong Nature Reserve

The highlight of this day is hiking in the valley through rice terraces, fields, ponds, rivers, mountains and villages. Then relax near the river and go back by Tuk-Tuk.

Approximately 6 hours of trekking, 14 km - 19 km.

Day 4: Ninh Binh

Meeting and chatting with the inhabitants of the village to have an overview of their daily life, you then can learn how to make rice wine and weave colorful textiles, followed by a lunch in a family. After that, departing for Ninh Binh. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Approximately 2 hours of trekking, 4 km.

Day 5: Ninh Binh

After breakfast, transferring to the Tam Coc pier and boarding on a boat (rowing with paddles) to enjoy the stunning landscapes along the Ngo Dong River. Relaxing with sampan ride through the gentle and elegant landscape of plains and mountains leading to the beautiful and mysterious Tam Coc Grottoes, the largest one is 125m long with its ceiling about 2m high above the water. This grotto is adorned with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites of different shapes and colours that sparkle like gemstones. 

In the afternoon, you will take a bike ride to visit the temple of Thai Vi, built to show the homage to the kings of the Tran Dynasty. Then visit the Bich Dong Pagoda and the Jade Pagoda, which are located on the mountain side. After that, you will explore the Thung Nham Bird Garden by bike or by car (depending on your health).

Thung Nham extends over an area of more than 300ha, a wonderful destination that combines the beauty of the karstic rocks casting a shadow over the transparent water, caves and especially several species of birds that gather there. A rowing boat cruise will take you to the center of the bird garden where you will see thousands of birds returning to their nests at sunset. The best time to observe the birds is around 5 pm. 

Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 6: Cat Ba Island

Departing for Hai Phong to take the hydrofoil to the Cat Ba Island which is renowned for the beauty of its karstic mountains, beautiful beaches and fishing villages.

On arrival, transfer to Cai Beo port and embark on a cruise to sail around Lan Ha Bay in a magical setting. Pass by a floating fishing village and then have free time for a kayak ride or a swim in white sandy beaches. Lunch aboard the boat and continue the cruising through islands, caves and lagoons. Dinner and overnight with your host family in the floating fishing village.

Day 7: Hanoi

After a delicious breakfast, you will visit the Hospital cave and explore the Cat Ba National Park where you will have the chance to see different types of flora and fauna. If you are a nature lover, do not forget to bring your camera for stunning photos, including wild animals like squirrels, frogs, thousands of butterflies, and so on. Return to Haiphong, ancient port city at the southern end of Halong. Drive to Hanoi, visiting Bat Trang village, famous for its pottery and ceramics. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Approximately 4 hours of trekking, 9 km.

Day 8: Lien Son

Flight to Buon Me Thuot(VN 1601 HAN BMV 0600 0745), which is famous as the regional "capital of coffee". Transfer to Lak Lake (arranged by Lak Tented Camp). You will join an excursion to Lak Lake, which is the largest lake of the central highlands, surrounded by rice fields and volcanic mountains and located on a peninsula. 

Be welcomed at the boat pier in Lak then taking a guided tour to the villages of M'Nong ethnic minority(Nau and M'Lieng) living around Lak Lake, exploring their way of life and typical culture (3 hours tour). Check-in and have lunch at Lak Tented Camp.

Free time in the afternoon to explore the surroundings

In the evening, you will enjoy the performance of gongs followed by a dinner at the restaurant Y LAK. 

Overnight at LAK Tented Camp.

Approximately 3 hours of trekking, 6 km.

Day 9: Lien Son

After having your breakfast, transfer to the village of YangTao which is located at the foot of Chu Yang Sin National Park. You will a soft trek (4km, around 1h) to the hidden waterfall. Enjoy the jungle canopy, swim in the cool water and enjoy a healthy picnic lunch by the waterfall.

In the afternoon, visit our organic farm followed by a cooking class.

Have dinner and overnight at Lak Tented Camp.

Approximately 3 hours of trekking, 8 km.

Day 10: Hon Ong

Enjoy breakfast with beautiful view to Lak Lake before saying good bye. Transfer to Khanh Hoa. Upon arrival, check-in at the Whale Island Resort.

Day 11: Hon Ong

Today is your free day to enjoy the beach. Overnight at the Whale Island Resort.

Day 12: End of Itinerary

Spend your leisure time in the morning and then get ready to go to Cam Ranh airport and take the flight to Sai Gon.
