Day notes

After breakfast a road transfer will bring you to Entebbe Airport for your flight to Kasese, departure at 07:45, arrival at 10:05. Upon arrival at Kasese you will be welcomed by your driver for your 2 hours drive to Kyaninga Lodge, overlooking the Crater Lake in Kibale.

Perched on the edge of a rare twinned-volcanic crater lake, Kyaninga offers spectacular walks right on your doorstep. Take a guided walk with one of the lodge guides around the rim of the crater lake and see it in all of its majesty. Or a walk down to the Lake through the 'land that time forgot' forest at Kyaninga. Out of Kyaninga, you can tour the local villages and gain a fascinating insight into rural Ugandan life. A little further, and you can take a walk up to the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley itself and stare in wonder as East Africa opens out beneath you. 

Day notes

After breakfast on day 3 you will be transferred for about 1 hour to the starting point of the Chimpanzees tracking on this morning. After your Chimpanzees experience, you will continue with a drive of about 2.5 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you stay at Kyambura Gorge Lodge.

Day notes

After an early breakfast on day 5, you will continue with a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It will be an 8 hours day journey to Bwindi with stops to stretch the legs and rest (alternatively, private charter flights are available at an extra cost).

The gorilla trekking will be on day 6. The ranger post where the trek starts is right next to the lodge. 

Day notes

After breakfast, a road transfer will bring you to Kisoro Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe Airport, departure at 09:10, arrival at 11:25, for your onward arrangements.
