Day 1: Cape Town

4 nights Cape Town, B&B

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by a repetitive and transferred to you hotel. 

Cape Town is one of the most beautifully situated cities in the world. Cradled by Table Mountain, it has immense charm and historical interest whilst its unique cultural blend; part African, part European and part Asian, makes for a cosmopolitan dining experience

Day 2: Cape Town

 

Table Mountain & Cape Town morning city tour

This is a great orientation tour of Cape Town. Highlights of this half day tour include a visit up Table Mountain on the cableway, where the varying flora and fauna will be explained; exploring the Malay Quarter – a historic picturesque area of the city with original Malay buildings and narrow streets.

Optional Extensions

1) Make this a full-day tour so that you have time to enjoy a 2 hour walk on Table Mountain or even the abseiling activity at the top. Then you have more time to explore the stories, culture and museums of the city as well. 

2) Combine this tour with a boat ride out to Robben Island

Day 3: Cape Town

Full day Cape Peninsula tour

This is an awe-inspiring tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. The tour takes in magnificent beaches, views and picturesque villages on the way with a scenic coastal drive along Chapmans Peak; the Cape Point National Park; viewing the Penguins at Boulders Bay; Simonstown historical naval base and the magnificent Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Optional Variations

Enjoy the scenic drive along the coast, via Chapmans Peak by classic 1930s side car, with the wind in your hair and beautiful views all around you. (2 hours)

Or leave Kirstenbosch gardens to visit on another day and spend the afternoon wine-tasting at a couple of the Constantia wine estates.

Day 4: Cape Town

 

Full day Cape Winelands tour

Today you enjoy a full day tour to the Cape Winelands for a leisurely exploration of the historic towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek as well as wine tasting at local wine estates. A combination of the favourable effects of the two major ocean currents meeting off the Cape makes the climate in the area perfect for the acres of vineyards.

Optional Variations

This tour can be adapted to focus much more on the wine estates with a specialist wine guide. 

Or you can choose to be more active, swapping out some of your time in the vehicle with a cycle ride through the wine estates. These options vary from easy to more challenging depending on your fitness levels.

Days 5 - 7: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

 

Fly to Sabi Sands for 3 nights, Full Board & Game Activities

Today you are transferred back to Cape Town International Airport for your scheduled flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit or Kruger. On arrival you are transferred to your private game lodge.

Note: We can substitute any number of game lodges across the pricing spectrum.

Day 8: Hazyview

 

Panorama Tour to the Drakensberg Escarpment & then overnight close to Kruger Airport, B&B

After a final early morning game drive, you enjoy a scenic transfer to your country lodge via some of the highlights of the Drakensberg Escarpment region. Depending on what time you get away from the lodge, you will usually visit the scenic Blyde River Canyon, stopping at God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Three Rondavels along the way. Time is allowed for shopping for crafts at the various craft vendors along the way.

Day 9: Victoria Falls (Zambia)

 

Fly to Victoria Falls for 3 nights, B&B

Today you have an early morning transfer to Kruger International Airport for your flight to Livingstone Airport. On arrival you are transferred to your hotel. (Depending on days/flight availability, this could be an early morning flight back to Johannesburg and onto Victoria Falls from there. This is why we need to include a night close to Kruger Airport )

Day 10: Victoria Falls (Zambia)

Morning tour of the Victoria Falls plus evening sundowner cruise

This morning you enjoy a guided walking tour of the Victoria Falls where you can enjoy the Falls from various viewing points. 

In the late afternoon, you enjoy a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi river. However this can be substituted with one of the dinner train excursions or the Dinner cruise (for a small supplement).

Day 11: Victoria Falls (Zambia)

Today you have a choice of activities:

Full day tour to Chobe National Park in Botswana with a 4x4 game drive and game-viewing boat cruise in the afternoon

OR  Full day white water rafting (length of trip depends on the water levels

OR Breakfast/brunch on Livingstone Island with its bird's eye view of the Victoria Falls from the Devil's Pool. (Small supplement for Lunch or Afternoon tea)

Day 12: End of Itinerary

Last day - Morning at leisure
