Arrive at Elephant Lodge, in the heart of the Kaokoveld. Once you arrive, you can put your car keys away as the local Himba guides will take you on your expeditions over the next days.

Go out with your guide in the morning and the afternoon to see those otherwordly landscapes, look for desert adapted elephants and other wildlife that is mainly found it desert environments and maybe visit one of the Himba villages to learn more about their culture and way of living in these harsh conditions.
Morning and afternoon shared activities.
Today, you will be transferred to River Camp, on the banks of the Kunene River, which forms the border with Angola. You will be driving through the desert, over sand dunes and bumpy roads. It will get a feel for the real Africa and be rewarded with the most unique landscapes.
