Day 1: Gweta

-Guests to depart Gaborone to Gweta,  the drive may take 7 hours

-Arrive at this small traditional tourist lodge, located 60km or  1 hour drive from  Nata, and 10 km from Gweta  village

-Highlight of Planet Baobab, are  the giant baobabs, adjacent to the village of Gweta and about 40  kilometres from the Pans. During your stay, you’ll no doubt learn of the unique biology of these fascinating trees, which are in fact, not trees, but the largest succulent in the world.

-This  is  a sister lodge to Camp Kalahari and  a meeting point or drop off point for all guests going to the Makgadikgadi Pans, ( you will leave your vehicle at the Planet Baobab)

-Dinner will be served at the lodge.

-Overnight at the lodge, in Bakalanga huts

Day 2: Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

-Breakfast at the lodge

-Mid morning you will be picked up by Camp Kalahari for 2 hours road transfer to Camp Kalahari, located in the Makgadikgadi Pans,

- The Makgadikgadi Pans, an area bigger than Switzerland, which was once the largest expanse of fresh water on the planet. Today, it’s a vast, salt-pan desert of shimmering sand and surreal landscapes so vast you can see the curvature of the earth.

-Making Makgadikgadi the adventure destination, really suitable for family, adults and  children alike, the adventure activities are the high light of the Pans, from getting closer and person with  the meerkarts, quad-bikes on the Pans/ San  walk  in the bush learn the survival skill from be best, i.e. Bushmen guides/ game drives/ an opportunity for a picture of a life time, this is a must visit destination

-Lunch at camp, followed by Siesta

-Afternoon activity,  depart at 330pm  return to camp about 630pm

-Dinner and overnight

Day 3: Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

-Breakfast at the camp

-Today you will plan your activities with the camp manager on times for adventure Pan exploration with quad bikes, game drives, search for meerkats

-Brunch will be served

--Siesta at camp

-Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 4: Maun

-You still have one more game activity, alternative day at leisure

-Breakfast at the lodge

-On time you will be dropped off to Planet Baobab lodge, take 2 hours drive

-Pick up vehicle and depart on self-drive to Maun, the drive will take 2.5 hrs

-late afternoon, direct to Cresta Maun hotel, located 10minutes drive from Maun town

- today you have 1 x  1 hour Sun downer boat cruise on Thamalakane river

-Dinner   will be served

-Overnight at the lodge in one bedroom with sleeper coach or extra mattress ( additional room  is possible at extra of P 2 800)

Day 5: Maun

-Breakfast at the hotel

-Today you will  drive to Maun airport, for schedule Scenic flight over the Okavango delta,  (times will be given to you) your pilot will fly along the Okavango channel, and fairly  low,  guests  expect to view game /animals and the Okavango delta formation, very interesting, this will take 45 minutes and drop off will be back to Maun airport

-Return to Maun, pick up your vehicle and drive back to the hotel or explore the   Maun, or take a trip along Moremi, or hire a boat  or try horse riding safari at an extra costs

-Return  to the hotel

-Dinner and overnight

 

Day 6: Maun

-Breakfast at the lodge

-Day at leisure,alternative,  take advantage to self drive to Moremi Game reserve or Khwai, the drive will take about 3 hours each way,  you need a 4x4 vehicle,  alternative you may book  a day trip safari with a professional guide  to Moremi, departure is about 630am and you will be back about 630pm

Day 7: End of Itinerary

-Breakfast at the hotel

-Guests to depart en route to Gaborone.  the drive to Gaborone will  take 10 hours

-Arrive Gaborone in the evening
