Day 1: Overnight Travel

Make your way to Heathrow  Airport on time for your direct flight to Singapore with British Airways in World Traveller Plus.

Day 2: Singapore City

On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Six Senses Maxwell for 2 nights in a merchant room on B&B basis.

Day 3: Singapore City

Take a private customised walking tour and we will put an itinerary together that ensures you see the things that will interest you the most and at a pace that suits you.

If you have not been to Singapore before and have no preferences we will give you a comprehensive city tour. We will focus on combining touristic highlights with local neighbourhoods and hidden gems. You will learn about the fascinating culture and history of Singapore.

We can combine some of the must see’s like the Merlion, Singapore River and riding the Singapore Flyer with something a little more off the beaten track to ensure that you see Singapore for what it really is; a melting pot of cultures and flavours. It is a city which has seen unprecedented growth, a city which competes on the global playing field despite its tiny size. It is a city where efficiency, style, gastronomies and cultures meet like in no other.

Our tours are immersive walking tours of Singapore which means that we will travel around Singapore using the world class MRT (underground) and bus systems. The costs of these are included in your tour price.

Day 4: Eastern & Oriental Express

Private transfer to Woodlands Railway Station to embark on one of the most memorable train  journeys in the world.

Spend the New Year in style on this luxurious train where you will be wined and dined with some of the worlds best culinary delights.

Settle into your private cabin as the train rolls through the Southern Malaysian countryside.

Afternoon tea is served on board, then spend time relaxing or exploring the train.

Savour an aperitif accompanied by live piano music in the Bar Car before your first dinner on board.

Day 5: Eastern & Oriental Express

Kuala Lumpur

Enjoy breakfast in your cabin before arriving at the impressive Mughal-style Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. Explore Malaysia's lively  capital with a choice of tour.

'A cultural Tapestry' unlocks the electric history of KL. Visit Independence Square , Jamek Mosque, and the Chinese temple of Sin Sze Si Ya. Alternatively,  'Kuala Lumpur today' guests visit the Petronas Towers and the skybridge, take morning tea at The Malaysian Petroleum Club, an exclusive venue founded by the late Tun Azizan and visit Central Market a unique shopping opportunity.

Return to the train for lunch and an afternoon at leisure. As evening descends, a sumptuous dinner is served as your journey continues to Penang Island.

Day 6: Eastern & Oriental Express

Breakfast is served in your cabin before the day's adventures begin. Alight the train and transfer to Butterworth for your choice of tour.

'Georgetown Living Heritage Hunt' tracks down some of the vibrant city's lesser known crafts. 'Georgetown's Colonial Legacy' explores the history and grandeur of 19th century Penang Penang. 'Taste Penang' unearths the region's rich culinary heritage.

Rejoin the train and find an array of local entertainment. Have your fortune told by an astrologer, sit in on a fascinating perfume presnetation, and be enraptured by the gentle melody of a Thai Musician.

This evening begind with a traditional Thai dance followed by a celebratory dinner. 

Countdown to the New Year with a DJ and sensational fireworks.

  

Day 7: Bangkok

Start the first day of the New Year with a relaxing morning on board as the train travels to Bangkok.

Disembark the train and take a private transfer to the  5 star Shangri La Hotel for 3 nights in a deluxe room on B&B basis.

Day 8: Bangkok

Head into the heart of Bangkok with a private guide as you explore the temples and royal buildings scattered around the Grand Palace. Learn about the extravagant construction of Buddhist places of worship, and get an insiders look around the city's bustling centre.

Get picked up from your hotel in a private vehicle and spend the first part of your tour listening to your guide share insight about Bangkok's most notable landmarks. After a short drive, park outside the grounds of the Grand Palace and head inside to visit your first temple of the day.

See the carved, emerald statue of the Buddha in a traditional pose in the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, admire the gilded interior that surrounds the statue on all sides, and then continue on to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha to see Thailand's largest collection of Buddha images. If you're lucky, you may even get to peek inside the Coronation Hall or Royal Funeral Hall before you wrap up your private excursion with convenient drop-off back at your hotel.

Day 9: Bangkok

Take to the streets of Chinatown to discover some of the best food Bangkok has to offer with the help of a local guide. Explore the area's major attractions, including Wat Trimitr where you can see the Golden Buddha, sample an assortment of delectable Thai dishes, and ride through town in a tuk tuk.

Meet your guide at MRT Hua Lam Phong and head to the vibrant Chinatown district to tour around some of the most popular landmarks. Admire the architecture and intricacy of the Chinatown Gate, Guan Yin Shrine, and Wat Trimitr, also known as the Golden Buddha Temple.

Next, you meander to Yaowarat Road for a delicious dinner. You are delighted by the fragrant aromas and exotic dishes as you pass the various street vendors. Your expert guide selects the best dishes to sample, such as pad Thai, fish maw soup, or rice noodles with roasted pork. You choose coffee or tea, possibly a traditional Thai iced tea, to accompany your meal, and then finish off the feast with a tasty dessert.

After dinner, hop in a tuk tuk for an unforgettable experience riding in the well-known vehicle. End your evening sipping on your favourite drink at a rooftop bar overlooking the Chao Phraya River lit up by the city lights.

Day 10: Krabi

After an early breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your internal flight to Krabi.

On arrival you will be met and transferred to the 5 star  Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
