Pickleball Safari - South Africa + Botswana

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport,  a Menzies Aviation representative will meet you and assist you through customs and immigration.

You will be escorted into the arrivals hall, where your private driver will meet you and transfer you to the hotel in Cape Town. 

As you drive from the Airport toward the city, your view from afar will be Table Mountain, one of the most spiritual places on earth, with its heart, two oceans, and the beautiful city of Cape Town at its feet. 

Arrive at the Commodore Hotel and check in. 

Dinner at your leisure 

Relish in your 6-night stay at The Commodore Hotel in a Standard Room with an ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes breakfast. 

You will enjoy a leisurely morning to acclimate to your new time zone. 

Over a welcome lunch, you will meet your professional instructor and receive an overview of Pickleball activities and programming. He will answer any questions or special requests you may have. 

Spend the afternoon exploring the bustling V&A waterfront or hit the courts for Pickleball instruction and open play. 

Dinner at your leisure 

Start your day with two hours of Pickleball instruction and open play.

Following lunch, your private driver will be at your disposal, should you wish to explore all that Cape Town offers, including  Table Mountain, the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, and a tour of the historic Castle of Good Hope. Other attractions to consider are the Company’s Gardens, the Cape Town Diamond Museum, and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. 

Dinner at your leisure 

After breakfast, your private driver will whisk you away on a Peninsula Tour where you'll pass by the Twelve Apostles, explore Clifton Beaches and Hout Bay, take a scenic drive along Chapman Peak, meander through the Cape Point Nature Reserve, stop for lunch in Simon's Town, and marvel at the Penguin Colony at Boulder's Beach.

Upon your return, the group will gather at the courts for two hours of instruction and open play, and then enjoy a Sundowner on the waterfront. 

Dinner at your leisure 

First thing this morning, your driver will pick you up at the hotel and set off for the South African Winelands of Stellenbosch & Franschhoek, where you'll meander through the stunning countryside and visit several wineries for cave tours and tastings and then enjoy a leisurely lunch. 

Upon returning to Cape Town, you can continue exploring the city or gather the group for some late afternoon open play. 

Dinner at your leisure 

After breakfast, your driver will take you to the Pickleball courts for a morning of instruction and open play.  

Lunch on your own

In the afternoon, you'll participate in a tournament. 

You'll enjoy a festive dinner this evening to celebrate your time in Cape Town. 

This morning, the group will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your scheduled flight to Kasane International Airport in Botswana. 

Upon arrival in Kasane, you will be met by an andBeyond representative and transferred by road to Chobe Game Lodge. Your transfer involves clearing customs and immigration formalities in Botswana.

Once settled into your guest room, you'll enjoy a leisurely lunch, after which you can explore the lodge and all it offers. 

Following afternoon tea, you'll have a choice of activities, including river safaris, game drives, and birding experiences. 
Enjoy a sundowner cocktail before returning to the lodge for dinner. 

Watch the sunrise while enjoying a morning game drive or river safari on the Chobe River, where wildlife abounds.

Return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast, after which you can relax by the pool or enjoy guided bird-watching. 

Enjoy lunch on the terrace or in the outdoor boma.  

Following afternoon tea, explore the river on a boat safari while witnessing the herds of game and prolific birdlife along the river banks.

Enjoy a sundowner cocktail before returning to the lodge for dinner. 

And for the cigar aficionado, enjoy a smoke in the stylish cigar bar, which overlooks the river.

Enjoy breakfast in the bush on your morning game drive. 

Upon return to the lodge, relax by the pool or enjoy a spa treatment. 

Enjoy a leisurely lunch on the terrace. 

Take a sunset cruise complete with sundowner cocktails while taking in evening wildlife activity as the day ends. 

Tonight, tuck into a beautiful selection of culinary treats while you watch an energetic performance of traditional dance in the outdoor boma. 

And for the stargazers among you, ask the resident naturalist to point out the stars using a telescope. 

This morning you will be transferred to Kasane Airport for your private charter flight with light aircraft to Xaranna Airstrip.

Once settled into your safari tent with an indoor bathtub, al fresco shower, private sala, and plunge pool, explore the intimate camp before enjoying lunch overlooking the lagoon. 

Enjoy afternoon tea and head out on a game drive, searching for leopards, lions, elephants, hyenas, playful baboons, and more. 

After sundowners, dinner will be served in the candlelit boma. 

Grab breakfast before heading off on a morning game drive, during which you will stop for a break, where you can add some delicious, creamy Amarula to your coffee. 

Upon return, indulge in a deeply relaxing massage next to your glimmering private pool at your sala. 

Enjoy a delicious lunch on the terrace,  where you'll likely see elephants parading through camp.

This afternoon, experience a breathtaking mokoro ride, concluded by a wet leg drink stop in the middle of the Delta. (Seasonal - dependent on water levels)

Dinner is served in the boma, surrounded by lanterns and torches, providing a peaceful, romantic setting. 

Begin your day with an early breakfast before you head out on your morning game drive.

You can arrange a soothing massage in your private sala upon return to camp. 

If you're enjoying your privacy, arrange to have a picnic lunch delivered to your suite and enjoy it while lounging by your private plunge pool. 

Enjoy afternoon tea before venturing out on your final game drive, and enjoy one last sundowner In the bush. 
Dinner will be served in the boma. 

And, as you say farewell to Xaranna, venture to the end of the jetty to gaze at the magnificent star-studded sky skies and ask your guide for a fascinating stargazing session. 

After breakfast, you will check out from the camp and bid farewell to your newfound friends.  

You'll be transferred to the airstrip for your private charter flight to Maun Airport. 

Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you'll be assisted with check-in procedures for your flight to either Cape Town or Johannesburg to connect to your international flight back home.
