Day notes

Arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport in the morning, be welcomed by your guide and transfer up to Madikwe Game Reserve. The trip takes about 4 hours.

On arrival at Royal Madikwe, check in and enjoy lunch. Enjoy a sunset safari, returning to camp for dinner.

Each day, you'll do morning and sunset game drives, enjoying three meals and relaxing at camp in the heat of the day at leisure.

Day notes

On your final morning at Madikwe, enjoy a morning safari and return to camp for breakfast. Pack up and be greeted by your guide, transferring back to O.R. Tambo Airport for direct flights to Port Elizabeth.

On arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport, pick up your hired car and transfer to the beachfront at the Singa Lodge. Check in and settle at leisure. Dinner is buffet-style, so enjoy walking on the beautiful beachfront for sunset.

Day notes

On your first morning in Port Elizabeth, wake up at leisure and enjoy breakfast at your hotel. It is a 3 hour drive to Plettenberg Bay, so leave at leisure, perhaps enjoying a tour of Port Elizabeth city centre.

On arrival in Plett, check in to your hotel on the beach and settle. Spend 2 nights exploring this region, with a host of activities on offer in the area. Breakfasts are included in your stay, with many restaurants on offer for dinners.

Day notes

Being only an hour away from Plett, leave for Knysna at leisure after breakfast at your hotel. Wonderful craft markets and curio shops are found along the way to Knysna, as well as a host of activities.

Arrive at Knysna after 14h00, checking into your hotel and relaxing. With a host of great restaurants and activities in this Oyster Capital of South Africa, enjoy dinner at leisure.

Enjoy your full day in Knysna at leisure, enjoying the scenery of the lagoon with a boat cruise, or visiting the Heads and the nature reserve, playing golf, or any of the other activities on offer.

Day notes

Today you head away from the coast, crossing over the magnificent Cape Fold Mountains and into the interior known as the Little Karoo. A dry, arid landscape famed for its Ostriches and Port. Spend a night in this region, enjoying the scenic passes and an array of activities in the area.

You will spend the night in a beautiful estate close to the town, with easy access to activities and restaurants for dinner. Only breakfast is included at your hotel.

Day notes

Enjoying a relaxed morning and breakfast in Oudtshoorn, continue your journey through the Little Karoo by following the beautiful Route 62. Passing through quaint towns with local characters and restaurants and shops on the way. Stop over at Calitzdorp and Boplaas, famous for its port wine.

You head back through the mountains and across the Cape farmlands, to arrive at Hermanus. With your hotel set on the coast, overlooking the ocean, enjoy a relaxed afternoon here. Hermanus is most well known for its Whales, especially from June through to December.

On your final leg of the journey, spend the last 3 nights at one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town. Staying at the Mount Nelson Hotel, perfectly situated close to the city and V&A Waterfront, this will be your base from which to explore Cape Town. There is so much on offer here, so enjoy the highlights at leisure.
