Galaxy 6 Days - Itinerary C

Early arrival to the aiport at Santa Cruz Island, then you will be transferred to the bay to get onboard Galaxy I Yacht. After lunch, the trip begins with a dinghy ride through Black Turtle Cove, where you can find 4 species of mangrove, and where you will spot turtles, herons, sharks and rays. End of the activities and dinner onboard.

Early start after landing at Rabida Island, where a red sand beach waits for you. You will take an excursion through a short trail to a water lagoon, home to waging flamingos. You will also visit a Palo Santo Forest. After lunch, head to Chinese Hat, a small islet located near the south-east coast of Santiago. It’s shaped like a Chinese hat when seen from afar. In this place you will see lava formations and lava flows. After this activity, head back to the yacht for dinner.

First activity of the day will be the visit to North Seymour to see the various species of birdlife that inhabit there, like blue footed boobies and frigate birds. After lunch, the yacht will take you to Mosquera Islet, home to a group of sea lions, and that is also a place to observe shorebirds, herons, lava gulls and boobies. You can also practice snorkeling or diving here.

Early in the morning, the yacht will land in Sullivan Bay at Santiago Island where you can witness the rope lava flows, and sea lions that rest through the shore. You can also practice shallow water snorkeling here. After lunch, you will visit Bartolome Island, famous for its Pinnacle rock and its beautiful landscapes where you can take amazing pictures. You can also practice snorkel at this island. End of the activities and dinner onboard.

Early in the morning, you begin with a hike to overcome the steep stair, called Prince Philip´s stairs, from the landing dock to a bush of palo santo shrubs on the top, where you will see red footed boobies; upon arriving at the edge of the rim you will enjoy a panoramic view of Genovesa Island. After lunch, you will go to Darwin Bay. Walk along a coral sand beach, crossing barren lava formation and creeks where some species have occupied its own ecological niches. Return to the yacht and dinner.

After breakfast, you will head to San Cristobal Interpretation Center, where you will learn about the colonization of the Islands, their Natural History and conservation efforts that have been made to preserve the species. After this visit, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight back to the continent.
