Arrive and transfer to Port St Johns in Kwa Zulu Natal, where you check into your hotel for a seven-night stay. Meet the crew in the early evening for a full expedition briefing. You will spend the next five days out at sea looking for Sardine Run action during this natural phenomenon. The ocean awakes, and the thrill is simply indescribable as you experience massive schools of sardines starting their migration from the colder waters around the Cape to the warmer waters of Kwa-Zulu Natal to give birth to their offspring. Once they’ve laid their eggs, they return to the Cape, closely followed by thousands of dolphins, birds, fish of prey, whales and sharks. Each morning after breakfast, transfer to the launch site directly in front of the hotel where you kit up, load the boat (8m semi-rigid RIB) and prepare for a full day diving at numerous dive sites. Lunch is provided onboard the boat. You return at approximately 3 pm to relax and enjoy dinner at the resort. On the rest day, you will spend the day relaxing at the hotel & enjoying the facilities or alternatively join the crew on a half-day excursion where you will get to explore the area, visit a local school & community. On the departure day, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
