Knysna Elephant Park, located near Knysna on the Garden Route in the Western Cape of South Africa, is a wildlife sanctuary dedicated to the care and conservation of African elephants. Visitors can join guided tours, walk alongside elephants, observe their behaviour up close, and participate in responsible interactions designed to educate and raise awareness about these animals. The park is notable as the first facility in South Africa established to care for orphaned African elephants, having looked after more than 40 individuals while promoting conservation, research, and ethical wildlife experiences in a natural environment.
