The 62km guided trail lies between Oyster Bay, St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis, however, in true slackpacking style (you hike with a small daypack while your luggage is transported), distances can be shortened and casual evacuations are possible if and when needed (for example older hikers or families with young children). It is much more than just a hike, and besides all meals it also includes a canal cruise on the famous St Francis canals, and a visit to Port St Francis, the only privately owned working harbour where you will also enjoy a calamari tasting. Whether you are a seasoned hiker or novice, or only “lifestyle fit”, you will enjoy this diverse hike. All you need is good hiking shoes, a small comfortable day pack and enough bottles or camelback for water (at least 2 litres).
