The Baan Tong Luang Eco-agricultural Village is conveniently located just off the Maerim – Samoeng Road. Visitors to the village can experience the lives of the native tribes of the area. The making of scarecrows, ridding of weeds in the paddy fields, and demonstrations of rice pouring from the watermill can be witnessed here. This fabricated village contains 4 separate Thai Hill Tribes. Visitors can watch the tribes make clothing in their homes and prepare traditional food, which are also available to buy. The Eco-Agricultural project was established to preserve the old traditional ways of Hill Tribe agriculture and to provide an income for the Hill Tribe people.
