Cerro de Monserrate is a mountain overlooking the centre of Bogotá and serves as both a visitor attraction and a place of pilgrimage. At its summit sits a religious shrine, along with restaurants, cafés and souvenir shops. Access is provided by an aerial tramway, a funicular railway or a hiking path. From the top, extensive views stretch across central, southern and western areas of the city.
