Located on the Isle of Arran, Lochranza Castle was built as a hall house in the late 1200s. Extending into the Loch Ranza, visitors can visit the two-storey castle, which features a storage area on the ground floor and the Lord's rooms on the upper floor. In addition to exploring the ruins, visitors can view the security measures taken to keep the property secure, including a trapdoor where attacks were thwarted.
