Amidst Tsavo West National Park we have created a place that reflects the deep bond with the country like nothing else.
The camp welcomes our guests with a unique combination of adventure, relaxation and wellness, very personal service and culinary highlights amidst the African wilderness. Located between the famous Mzima Springs and the big Tsavo River you will find our unfenced Severin Safari Camp.
Severin Safari Camp
Virtual 360° Tour through Severin Safari Camp. The Severin Touristik GmbH presents the newly created 360° panorama pictures of the Kenyan hotel Severin Safari Camp. Whether a delicious breakfast on the terrace with view to the Indian Ocean, a cocktail at the pool, a wonderful sundowner in front of Mt. Kilimanjaro or close animal encounter with giraffe and zebra. With pictures and videos in 360° panorama format the journey becomes real already before departure and a whole new world of experience develops. With the 360° technique and a specially constructed camera guests will get an a real impression of the hotel both from air and from the floor before their first visit. With this, the client can have a look around and choose his own perspective of the hotel. The controlling of the camera will give the feeling to freely move around at the beach or through the national park. The 360° panorama pictures can be seen by PC, laptop and tablet. But a very special highlight is the display of the pictures and videos by using virtual reality glasses.
All 21 octagonal tents with robust Canvas cloth are equipped with running hot and cold water, shower, separate toilet and bidet, comfortable beds with mosquito nets and private terrace with camping chairs.
We will be also glad to welcome guests with walking disability. In this case we will reserve centrally located tents which can be provided with a ramp. The tents are equipped very handicapped friendly.
We will advice you on the detailled measurements and possibilities and will also be glad to recommend safari operators who are attuned to guests with walking disabilities.
Each tent offers 220V electricity, a hair dryer, a safe and WIFI access free of charge. We also offer a parking site.
The four stone masoned Junior Suites are equipped with a kingsize bed, a separate living room, minibar, coffee- and tea making facility, a sun deck with loungers and a private courtyard with outdoor shower.
The Junior Suites named Mzima Springs, Roaring Rocks, Chyulu Hills and
Shetani Cave offer spacious and sun flooded bathrooms with two hand
washing basins and are also ideal for families with two children.
The raised observation deck with sunloungers of our Kibo and Mawenzi Suites offers a wonderful view to Mt. Kilimanjaro and the wide savannah of Tsavo. The spacious suites with kingsize bed and robust tent canvas are additionally equipped with a corner bathtub and with the adjacent tent which can be booked in addition perfectly suitable for families.
When booking a Junior Suite or Executive Suite, the coffee- and tea making facility as well as the basic equipment of the minibar are included.

Discover the secrets of the African wilderness on foot! You are accompanied by a Maasai, who shows you around. During the tour you can find out all that is worth knowing about tracking, the flora and fauna, the multifaceted bird life and the traditional lifestyle of the locals. Learn from our Maasai, how to make a fire without matches and which local plants and herbs can be used as medicines.

This is a real adventure. During the tour, you will be united with nature. Use your senses and eavesdrop the chatter of the animals. You will observe the smaller and larger animals and follow their tracks. The ranger will give you a lot of interesting information about tracking and the diverse flora and fauna. This bush walk is a very unique experience. Refreshments: 1l of water, juice and snacks

The sunset at Poacher’s Lookout is an unforgettable experience. From there, you can enjoy a breathtaking view on the 5.895 meters Kilimanjaro. You enjoy the beautiful sunset while having a glass of sparkling wine and canapés with the music of »Out of Africa« in the background. A small thatched hut sits on the top of the hill which was used in the past by K.W.S. Rangers to fight poachers.

Experience the silence of Africa during our night game drive. Equipped with a flashlight you go on night game drive in an open vehicle. You can observe shy and noctural animals under the African sky. When the driver shuts down the engine, you will experience the unique silence in the Kenyan wilderness. Eavesdrop the sounds of the animals near and far. A very special experience!

Enjoy your breakfast or lunch amid the dreamlike scenery of the African wilderness. For the bush breakfast our team welcomes you with a glass of sparkling wine. Out of Africa Restaurant
We serve breakfast buffet as well as à la carte lunch and dinner in our "Out of Africa" Restaurant. The chef's speciality is marinated meat from the Kenyan highlands served on hot stone or as a fondue, in addition we serve fresh vegetables, salad and herbs. Extraordinary wines complete the culinary experience amidst the bush. We also invite our guests to enjoy the wonderful African atmosphere during a private bush breakfast or bush lunch or to admire the beautiful sunset at Poacher's Lookout with sparkling wine and canapés (surcharge).
