The Distillery District was born out of a derelict collection of Victorian Industrial buildings that had been pronounced a national historic site. This is a place where creativity flourishes and passion is aroused – from artists and artisans to entrepreneurs and businesspeople.

A collection of 47 restored buildings make up The Distillery District, creating a dramatic fusion of old and new. It is an internationally acclaimed village of one-of-a-kind stores, shops, galleries, studios, restaurants, cafes, theatres and more.

The Distillery Historic District opened in 2003 and today is widely regarded as Canada’s premier arts, culture and entertainment destination. The District boasts over 80 shops and boutiques for fresh urban style, unique home furnishings, and mouth-watering treats. It also has a host of dining options, from cozy comfort food to the decadence of French Fusion cuisine. Go Tours provides historic walking and segway tours of The Distillery.
