Located roughly 45 kilometres east of Cape Town in the Stellenbosch winelands, Simonsig was named for its breathtaking views of the Simonsberg Mountains. It has been owned by the Malan family since 1688, and the viticultural knowledge gathered during this time has been handed down over ten generations. In addition to red and white wines, Simonsig also produces a range of sparkling wines, with its Kaapse Vonkel being one of the best-value-for-money bubblies around. The farm’s Cuvée restaurant blends traditional Cape flavours and the finest of seasonal ingredients in an array of signature dishes. Tasting and wine sales: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm; Saturdays & Public Holidays 8.30am to 4pm; Sundays 11am to 3pm.
