The ancient water town of Zhujiajiao is located on the outskirts of Shanghai in the Qingpu District. The town dates back to 1600 years, but archaeological items have been discovered here, dating back to 5000 years ago. The village used to prosper through clothing and rice businesses. Today, old historical buildings including rice shops, banks, spice stores, and even a Qing dynasty post office can still be found here.
