Overlooking the villages of Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald, the majestic Eiger is part of the Bernese Alps located in western Switzerland. Standing tall at 13,015 feet, climbers find the mountain's peak very challenging to reach. Peter Bohren and Christian Almer were the first men to ascend the mountain. There is a railway tunnel running through the mountain and two internal rail stations offering visitors easy access to the viewing windows carved in the mountian.
