A magnificent presence on the Mekong river, Aqua Mekong showcases modern architecture and interiors by renowned architect Noor Design. The Mekong river cruise ship’s 20 spacious, air-conditioned suites feature full-length windows that offer spectacular panoramas of the ever-changing Mekong scenery.
As the Aqua Mekong charts a luxurious passage across Cambodia and Vietnam, on-board guests embark on an inspired journey of local flavors with a dining experience crafted by Michelin-starred consulting chef David Thompson. The ship’s bar menu, created by renowned spirit experts and cocktail designers Proof & Co, echoes a similar locally-minded philosophy.
Aqua Mekong guarantees utmost safety, comfort and exclusivity for off-shore excursions, as Aqua Expeditions owns and operates the only private fleet of launch boats on the Mekong river. The four ergonomically-designed launch boats bring guests on highly personalized day trips to landmarks, temples and villages where tradition, spirituality and craftsmanship reside.

A fleet of ergonomically-designed, low-emission sheltered launch boats — the only privately-owned fleet of skiffs on the Mekong — takes guests to shore from the Aqua Mekong, ensuring efficiency, comfort and utmost safety.
With groups no larger than 10, excursions are more insightful and intimate for each guest. With an immense knowledge of the lay of the land, a team of four professionally-trained guides lead guests on daily expeditions as they share their first-hand, insider knowledge of the Mekong River, Southeast Asian history, traditions and cultures.
Aside from riding in tuk-tuks, the undulating elevation of the Mekong countryside is perfect for cycling. Top-of-the-line, all-terrain Cannondale bicycles sail with the Aqua Mekong, able to tackle any terrain in comfort and safety. No two cycling excursions in an itinerary are the same, so guests get to experience a different slice of Mekong life and culture with every ride.
Guests of the Aqua Mekong can take advantage of eight double-kayaks throughout various locations in Cambodia. Paddle through floating villages and get up close to people on the Mekong.

Aqua Expeditions is honoured to partner with the multi-award winning chef and restaurateur David Thompson to craft the dining experience aboard the Aqua Mekong. The Australian-born chef is world-renowned for mastering the intricate flavours of Southeast Asia, which has earned him a Michelin Star at his former Nahm restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand.
As consulting chef for the Aqua Mekong, chef David Thompson creates exclusive dishes for the Aqua Mekong and orchestrates seasonal menus showcasing the full repertoire of flavours from Vietnam and Cambodia in refined style. To do this, chef Thompson uses peak season produce and the freshest ingredients from the Mekong river and the region. His creations include lamb curry with Khmer spices and Vietnamese sugar cane prawns, most of which are served in a communal dining style authentic to the region’s traditions.
Design Suites
When it comes to private time on the Aqua Mekong, experience an ample sense of space with ultimate comfort and style. 20 spacious, river-facing Design Suites — including four interconnecting suites — are furnished with inviting hardwood interiors along with premium fittings and bedding. In the fully air-conditioned comfort of your river cruise suite, gaze at the Mekong panorama and watch an idyllic world float by.
All individual suites measure 322 square feet (30 sq m) and eight of them have balcony. Design Suites without balconies all have river facing panoramic windows that open and a 4m (13ft) long interior sofa that converts to a single bed. Design Suites with balconies all have panoramic windows, sliding glass door and an exterior daybed.
For the ultimate romantic cruise, interconnecting suites offer the luxury of having one suite configured as a living room, while the other as the master bedroom with a sumptuous California King bed. Enjoy his-and-hers baths and the magnificent grandeur of a 644 square foot (60 sq m) residence on the Mekong.
