Located in the northern part of Saudi Arabia, Al Nufud Al Kabir Desert is the second-largest sand accumulation in the Kingdom, spanning 65,000 square kilometres. This vast desert is renowned for its striking red sand dunes, which form unique crescent-shaped formations. Travellers can explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Jubbah, home to ancient rock carvings dating back over ten thousand years. The desert also hosts the King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Reserve, where visitors can encounter diverse wildlife such as the Arabian wolf and sand gazelle.
