Located along Wisunarat Road and within a short radius to the heart of Luang Prabang in Laos is the Wat Wisunarat (Wat Visoun).
Considered to be the earliest temples in the city of Luang Prabang, the temple once housed the Prabang Buddhas.
The highlight of the temple is the 16th-century Stupa of Great Lotus which is the only stupa of this kind and shape in Laos.
The temple boasts collections of medieval age ordination stones and carvings representing the Hindu gods, as well as a range of Buddha statues made of bronze, jade, gems, gold, and wood.
