The Mekong River, located in Thailand is the world's 12th longest river in the world and the 7th longest in Asia. It runs across boundaries into Vietnam and Cambodia.
The Mekong River crosses six countries namely, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand.
The river is home to 20,000 plant species, 430 mammals, 1,200 birds, 800 reptiles and amphibians, and an estimated 850 freshwater fish species.
No other river in the world is home to so many species of very large fish. Guests can enjoy boat cruises on the river as well as guided tours of the various sites and housing along the river.
