Located just south of Maroantsetra, on the eastern coast of Madagascar in the sparkling Helodrano Antongila Bay, the Tampolo Marine Park fringes the provincial boundary of the Antsirinana and Toamasina provinces. Sandwiched between the Nosy Mangabe Special Reserve and the Masoala National Park, this magnificent park is located where the forest meets the sea. Nature lovers will delight in the wild landscapes inhabited by extraordinary animal species. Visitors can look forward to spotting a variety of lemur species such as the Red Varecia and the famous Aye Aye (nocturnal lemurs), as well as the rare Helmet Vanga, a magnificent bird sporting a large electric blue beak. A biodiverse underwater wonderland just offshore is home to turtles, colourful reef fish, dolphins, whales, and much more.
