Pioneer Camp is an ideal place to stay if you need to be near Lusaka but don't want to be in it! Only 14 kms (30 minutes) from the International Airport, we offer a restful stop over before, after or during your Zambian safari. We have a range of chalets and a shady campsite, with the bar and restaurant at the heart of Pioneer, a great place to meet fellow travelers and discuss your safari experiences!
The thatched Pioneer Tents are for those travelling on more of a budget. Comfortable accommodation with twin beds, but are not en-suite, they use shared bathroom facilities.
These are our mid-range chalets, designed to the same specification as the Miombo chalets but smaller. They also have en-suite bathrooms and a shady veranda with woodland views.
Our Luxury Safari Chalets are very popular. They are all set very spaciously along the Esat side of the camp. Each room has an en-suite and a unique design. The standards these reach can be expected at any decent Safari Lodge.
The Cottage is a Large unit located in the middle of the property. It consists of two bedrooms each containing three beds, a bathroom, living room, kitchen and dining area, there is also a private garden below it.
Our Family Miombo chalet a king size and single bed. It has an en-suite bathroom and is suitable for wheelchair access as well. The Triple Miombo Chalet has 3 single beds with an en-suite bath and verandah
