All along the world renowned Kruger National Park’s western boundary are private game reserves which combine with the Kruger to create one of the world’s largest game reserves and a truly remarkable safari destination. The combined conservation area is over 2 million hectares in size and referred to as the Greater Kruger National Park. The bush and animals found in the adjacent private reserves are similar to what you would find in the Kruger National Park, and include the famous Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros. There are no fences between Kruger and the private reserves. These reserves offer excellent game viewing opportunities together with the advantages of smaller, hosted accommodation and game drives on open 4x4 vehicles (including night drives). Many lodges also offer guided bush walks. A trip to Greater Kruger is an unforgettable and potentially life changing experience.
