Ziz Gorges is a series of river-carved canyons located in the eastern High Atlas region near Errachidia in Morocco. Visitors can enjoy views of the rugged landscape, have picnics in designated areas, observe the dramatic rock formations shaped by the Ziz River, and experience the natural scenery of the surrounding valley. The gorges lie along the upper course of the Ziz River and are bordered by notable features including the Hassan Addakil Dam and the historic Tunnel de Légionnaire. A notable aspect of the area is the presence of ancient fossils that have been discovered in the surrounding landscape.
