Located in Egypt, the Grand Egyptian Museum is an archaeological museum situated just outside Cairo on the Giza Plateau, next door to the Pyramids. It will house artefacts of ancient Egypt, including the complete Tutankhamun collection. The museum complex is highly flexible and suitable for permanent and temporary exhibitions with up to 15,000 visitors per day. It contains a library, a research centre, restoration laboratories, a museum for children and one for people with disabilities, an open-air museum, parking facilities and a public square with shops, cafes and restaurants. The museum is designed in such a manner to create a world-class building capable of demonstrating the progress, evolution and development of the Egyptian Civilization. The technological infrastructure of the museum allows for the creation of modern archives and a library capable of facilitating the management, maintenance, and preservation of the collection and research-related activities.
