The memorial site of the S-21 interrogation and detention centre, the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocide, is located in the heart of Phnom Penh.
Visitors to the museum can go on a guided tour where they will learn about the Khmer Rouge regime.
The museum features a permanent exhibition depicting the history of the Khmer Rouge period, various temporary exhibitions relating to the living conditions and the impact the past has on present times, and a mobile exhibition used for education.
The museum houses a textile and iron tool conservation lab, as well as an extensive archive of all the people who were victimised during the dark period in Cambodian history.
