Shah-i-Zinda is a breathtakingly beautiful necropolis located in the northeastern part of Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The name means "the living king", and the site is believed to be the final resting place of Kusam ibn Abbas, a cousin of the Prophet Muhammad.
