Candirejo Village is located in the Borobudur District of Magelang, Central Java. The village maintains many of Java's ancient traditions and is said to be a symbol of Javanese culture, where visitors can experience and participate in a variety of cultural attractions and activities. Candirejo offers over 50 scattered homestay accommodations and guests can be involved in all aspects of daily life within the village. Many homemade handicrafts and souvenirs are also made here, such as beds, benches and bookshelves made of bamboo, as well as bags and mats made of pandan leaves.

The village is explored either on foot or on a horse carriage and visitors are educated on the indigenous birds, various medicinal plants, the agricultural system and methods of cultivation. As three rivers flow through this rich tropical rainforest, visitors can also join a fishing boat and experience fishing with the “nylantrang”, which are the traditional fishing nets.
