Purchased by the Bouma family in 1989, Anura has been a success story from the start, with its first Cabernet Sauvignon vintage in 2001 bagging a Veritas double gold award. The estate has continued to collect accolades since then, for its white wines as well as the reds on which it places a predominant focus. Anura’s Unfiltered Reserve 2010 was recently voted South Africa’s number one Sauvignon Blanc. The estate’s Lily Pad restaurant serves modern adaptations of much-loved Cape classics, while its cheesery creates a range of decadent and delicious Brie and Camembert cheeses.
