Namib Naukluft Camping Sites are ideally located within one of the largest nature conservation areas in the world. The Namib Naukluft Park contains mainly arid and semi-arid ecosystems and covers an area of nearly 50 000 square kilometres, stretching along the Southern part of Namibia’s coastline from Luderitz to Walvis Bay. Unique sites such as the dunes at Sossusvlei, the Welwitschia Plains and Moon landscape are in the park. Basic camp sites at Kuiseb Bridge, Homeb, Mirabib, Tinkas, Kriess-se-Rus, Vogelfederberg, Bloedkoppie, Ganab and Welwitschia are offered.
The campsite at Mirabib is in the Namib Naukluft Park and has no facilities. Visitors need to bring their own equipment, food, water and fire wood. Permits are required for travelling in Park and when camping.
