Visit a series of authentic restaurants and roadside eateries which serve traditional Madurai food. We have a whole list of places we visit depending on your preference and taste. Some of the popular restaurants you visit and which you can find on Google maps are Murugan Idli Shop, Konar kadai, Meenakshi Bhavan, Burma Idiyappa kadai (well the last one is on Foursquare). Most places are not on the internet or on the local guide books. You will get to taste local delicacies with a pinch of the city's cultural history thrown in. And don’t worry if you don’t remember all the difficult names of the dishes. The names of all the food that you sample on the tour will be emailed to you.
