Okonjima Nature Reserve is home to The AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the long-term conservation of Namibia’s large carnivores. On your visit, you can observe the foundation’s work and learn more about African predators, such as lion, leopard, and cheetah, and their plight for survival in the 21st century. The Foundation educates not only Okonjima guests, but also nearby farmers, the local youth, and surrounding communities about solutions for the human-wildlife conflict in a relaxed environment.
