David Rodriguez Breeding Center is located on the southeastern side of San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos, Ecuador. This unique center is dedicated to increasing the population of the endemic Chelonoidis chatamensis, a species of giant tortoise, by breeding them in conditions similar to their natural habitat. Visitors can walk along the centre's trails to admire tortoises at various stages of growth, from hatchlings to juveniles, before they are released back into the wild. The center also offers an informative visitor experience with an Interpretation Center, hiking trails, and opportunities to see other native wildlife.
