Located in Normandy, France, Juno Beach was one of the beaches of the Allied invasion of German-occupied France during World War II. The beach was defended by two military units of the German 716th Infantry Division along with the 21st Panzer Division near Caen. Predicted casualties of the battle at Juno Beach was around 2,000, of which 600 soldiers drowned. On Juno Beach, there is a museum and memorial at the Juno Beach Centre, which commemorates the lives these brave soldiers.
