Darwin’s Arch, once a striking natural rock formation southeast of Darwin Island in the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador, is now a collapsed structure known as the Pillars of Evolution. Visitors can enjoy scuba diving and marine wildlife viewing in the surrounding waters, which are rich with whale sharks, manta rays, and diverse fish species. Notably, the arch collapsed on 17 May 2021 due to natural erosion, leaving behind iconic stone columns that continue to attract divers and photographers.
