This Bai is a focus for all the animals and birds that live in this huge forest reserve. The Bai itself is an open clearing in the forest created by animal pressure as a result of the minerals that seep into this area of the jungle and are important part of the diets of the animals and birds that live in the jungle.

We reach here with a drive from the lodge and then we walk to the Bai down game trails and then spend our time here on an elevated platform which gives us amazing views over this important and busy area. Highlights here would be the herds of Forest Elephants covering themselves in the different coloured mud created by the various minerals – Forest buffalo – Bongo the largest and rare antelope of the jungle, Various primate species that include Lowland Gorilla, and an array of beautiful birds especially the flocks of African Grey Parrots
